Nature
The natural environment is generally uncrowded, unpolluted and easy to access. Most cities have close proximity to unspoiled beaches and national parks. Visit the Great Barrier Reef, the vast arid outback or the lush rainforests of the east coast. Check out the unique wildlife: koala, platypus, cassowaries and kangaroos.
Work while you study—and after!
The Australian economy is strong. In most cities there are plenty of casual, part-time and full-time jobs available so you can support yourself financially and improve your English proficiency while studying. Student visas allow you to work for 40 hours every two weeks when your course is running, and for unlimited hours at other times. Minimum wages are the highest in the world. When you graduate, you may be eligible for a Temporary Graduate visa, or you may have an employer wanting to sponsor you for a new visa.
